AbandonedI lay on the ground, breathing heavely. I open my eyes and i am still blind. I call your name but, i get no answer. Why have you abandoned me? I thought you loved me. Maybe you didnt leave me, what if they got you! No, i dont believe that! i cant.

In the darkness i hear a cry. i gets louder with each passing moment. I recognize it as a babys cry. Then it turns to a terrible screeching that indicates pain. I feel around in the darkness, looking for the babe. The cry sounds right beside me but, no matter where i feel i can not find the child.
